About UseIntelly

UseIntelly is a public information and cost-intelligence platform for Zambia, with plans to expand across Africa. We help locals, the diaspora, businesses, students, and visitors find clear answers about government service fees, requirements, procedures, taxes, licences, permits, and utilities.

Who's behind UseIntelly

UseIntelly is an independent project — not a government agency. We started it to fix a real problem: in Zambia, official fees, requirements, and procedures are scattered across notices, PDFs, and portals, and are often out of date by the time you find them. Our job is to gather that information from the original official sources, organise it clearly, check it against those sources, and keep it current — so you can find a reliable answer in one place. We're contactable any time through our contact page, and we stand behind every page we publish.

UseIntelly is founded and edited by Jonas Mwansa, a software engineer who built the platform's research and verification system. Questions, corrections, or partnership enquiries reach him directly through the contact page.

How we research and write

Every record follows the same evidence-first process:

  • Sourced from the origin. We start from official government notices, fee schedules, and institution pages — never from other blogs or aggregators.
  • Structured, then checked. Our research system extracts the figures, requirements, and steps and cross-checks them against the cited source.
  • Reviewed by a human before publishing. Nothing goes live automatically. An editor verifies each page against its source and approves it — our "agents propose, humans publish" rule.
  • Cited and dated. Every page links its official source and shows when it was last verified, so you can confirm it yourself.
  • Kept current. We monitor sources for changes and flag pages as Outdated when a figure may have moved.

We are not an official platform

UseIntelly is not an official government platform and is not affiliated with any government body. Every record on this site cites a source. Always confirm critical information with the responsible institution before acting on it.

How verification works

Each record carries one of these statuses:

  • Draft — not yet visible publicly.
  • Pending review — in the editorial queue, not visible publicly.
  • Verified — reviewed against an official source.
  • Outdated — previously verified, but the source has moved or the figure may have changed. Remains visible with a clear badge.
  • Archived — removed from public view.

Records flagged Sample Data contain placeholder structure used during setup and should not be treated as authoritative.

Reporting errors

Spotted incorrect fees, outdated procedures, or a missing source? Use the “Report outdated information” link on any record, or visit the general report page. Reports feed directly into the editorial queue.
